Streams of Living Water

Over 10 years ago, Thom, Nanette, and Merritt were traveling along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Smoky Mountains when Thom saw something that caught his eye. It was a chapel that was made of white clapboards with stones. The country church featured in this painting is based upon Thom’s discovery. He didn’t take any pictures nor did he paint it so the chapel is solely based upon his memory of that day. This piece has lots of different wildlife including a small gathering of deer, ducks, rabbits, birds, and a frog. Some collectors have notice that Thom signed is as “John 3:15” instead of “John 3:16”. Its been told that Thom did not intentionally paint John 3:15; he just didn't complete the "6" fully and so when you look at the original it appears as a "5".
